For a relaxed holiday around the backwaters in Alappuzha, take a cruise on a Standard Houseboat. This ride not just lets you have a lovely time with abundance of nature around, but it also fits into your budget. This is an ideal package for couples, who prefer some quiet time with out having to shell out too much money.

The standard houseboat has a well - furnished patio, bedroom (a/c and non a/c) with attached bath and a kitchen which is maintained in a good condition. The crew will attend to you and serve you authentic Kerala lunch, tea with snacks, dinner and breakfast the following day.

Cruising along the backwaters of Kerala gives you an opportunity to saunter down the cool placidness and also enjoy the traditional Kerala cuisine. After all, how complete is the Kerala experience without a taste of the authentic Kerala dishes, ranging from Pearl spot fish and clams to rice and curry. So immediately after you are checked in at 12 noon, you will be served lunch.

The cruisers can see the toddy tappers and fishermen at work, women washing clothes, children bathing in the river and lot more trademarks of Kerala. You can buy fish from the fishermen while on the move, or even try your hand at angling while the boat is anchored. If you are lucky to get a catch, our cook on-board will fry it for you.

The houseboat sails through a number of villages that lie on the banks of the backwaters. You get to see the R-Block which is popular of their specialized cultivation that is carried out about four to ten feet below sea level. This is done by by reclaiming land from the backwaters and building dikes around it. You get to get down at the Pathiramanal, a small island where one gets to see a hoard of migratory birds.

The guests will be served evening tea , coupled with local snacks . The package also includes dinner and the following day's breakfast.

The first day will wind off with traditional dinner and the boat will be anchored at the lake side after that. The cruise begins early next day and winds off at 9.30 am.
