The cruise starts at 12 noon when you will be welcomed aboard by our representative. A traditional lunch with an assortment of Kerala dishes is served at the onset of the cruise. The cruise will unfurl some of the natural scenary nestled along the Punnamada Lake such as lagoons, villages and underwater rice fields of R'Block, C' Block, which would remind you of the Dykes of Holland. The sun deck is an ideal spot not just to enjoy a bird’s eye of the surroundings but is also a vantage angling spot, where you can try out your skills with the fishing rod. The tastefully done up sprawling patio has many leisure options like music system and TV for you to spend some fun filled time.

Spare a glance at the traditional fishermen operating the Chinese fishing nets or diving for mussels. Among other sights, you will also see village lads, splashing and swimming in the shallow backwaters or herding flocks of ducks. You can surely feel the change of pace of life in these sleepy hamlets where everything goes by at an enviably slow pace.

The brief halts of the boat would allow you to discover the charm of the villages from a close quarter. You can befriend the villagers or laze around doing nothing. Hire a bicycle to explore the local markets and religious places. You will also see many unique sights like a coconut tree climbing, coir making or toddy tapping, which form part of the daily life of these villagers.

There are many tourist attractions in the cruise circuit such as the 400 year old Champakulam church, Chavara Bhavan, a holy shrine and the 110 feet long snake boats, which cannot be seen anywhere else in the country. Coir villages of Thrimkkunnapuzha and the Vallicavu Amrithanadhamayi Ashram of Amrithannadamayi, one of the most famous Hindu sanyasinis are some of the other places of interest.

You can indulge in a spell of indoor games, flip through your favorite books or get a sun tan at the upper deck. Sun set is another attraction of the cruise after which the boat will slowly move towards the lake side to drop anchor for the night. You are all set for a good night’s sleep after a typical Kerala dinner.

On the last day, you will be served breakfast before you are dropped off at the finishing point by around 9.30 in the morning, to mark the end of a fun filled cruise.
