Independent Rating: Not Rated Self Accredited Rating: Not Rated Anamika is a century old Syrian Christian ancestral family home that has been lovingly furnished and converted into a heritage home. Its a curious mixture of quaint local styles added to the Dutch architecture. Set in landscaped gardens and serene surroundings, Anamika offers a splendid setting for your stay in the Venice of the East- Alappuzha.

The villa offers three double bedrooms neatly furnished with furniture conveniently set for the maximum comforts. There is also a suite room, which is more spacious than the double rooms. Apart from offering comfortable accommodation, the villa is a treat to the eyes as well.

The steeply pitched tile roof rests on rock columns with order done in tuscan style of necking of a curious Dutch fashion. The verandas seen at the eastern and western flanks are decorated with rod iron cast grills. The lush green lawns flow effortlessly around the villa. The heavily timbered ceilings are supported with massive steel guarders, which is in fact in single piece of metal running the fall length of the ceiling.

The thick wood-worked windows and doors are decorated with gothic arches fitted with colour glass. The Verandah (porch) at the rear of the house is shaded by a huge mango tree of thick foliage. The broad hedges across the veranda is the best place to sit and relax sipping a cup of coffee or tea.
