Kalari Kovilakom, the palace of the ancient Vengunad Kingdom in Kerala now converted into a palace for Ayurveda, offers Ayurveda in its most authentic and substantive form as the Rajas of Vengunad would have had it.
Adhering to the strict tenets of Ayurveda as an universal healing art rather than a medical system, the treatment offered is a combination of the physical, psychological and spiritual therapies in our approach to health that is as relevant to the modern world as it was to the ancient world. Nothing has been re-invented, nothing diluted. The Ayurveda treatments are complimented and supported by yoga and meditation practices.
‘The Palace’ is by no means an ashram. While living in the comforts of “The Palace”, we invite you to have only a glimpse of an experience of a lifestyle that was advocated in the Ancient Indian traditions. This lifestyle helps you to balance your energies, to balance the outer, material world and the inner, spiritual world, leaving you refreshed, energetic and a more whole person.
The programme starts with a two week cleansing treatment to eliminate toxins. Only then do the rejuvenation treatments start, with medicines and diet. The aim is to arrest the degeneration of body cells and increase immunity. In fact, the treatment helps to keep individuals free from diseases even at an advanced age.

Inclusions: All our package rates includes the cost of all consultations, treatments, massages, oils, herbs, accommodation, Yoga, meditation, food and the clothes we provide for you on arrival. It also includes pick up and drop from Cochin airports.
Exclusions:
- Ayurvedic treatment is highly individualized based on your body type. The content of packages may differ depending on the patients health condition. The exact duration of treatment can be ascertained only upon consultation with the doctor, on arrival.
- Any other treatment prescribed by the Doctor will be charged extra which must be settled direct at time of check-out. Patient will be intimated before hand in such cases.
- It is advisable to show one's medical history to the doctor during consultation to help plan for best results (taking into consideration any specific problems).
- Internal medicines may be prescribed by the Doctor at the time of departure will be chargeable, can be bought from the centre.
- Service charge for the Doctor is for supervision over the treatments, diet, routine visits and consultation.
- Package cost does not include treatments if any, required for conditions not related to package.
- Package costs do not include any tests, if required by doctors.
- Package costs do not cover extra consultations required after treatment, if situation warrants extra supervision for the patient.
- If additional days treatment is required, the rates will vary proportionately. Extra days and costs in such cases will be notified before they are incurred.
- Charges for accompanying person without treatment: Supplement @ GBP 29/EURO 35/USD 54/INR 2170 per night on Single Occupancy.
- Sightseeing, telephone calls, internet, personal laundry and other additional service requested will be charged extra.
- Booking is done by making a 25% advance payment and the balance payment may be made any time before your departure from Kalari Kovilakom.
