Nerves help us to feel/recognize all types of sensations, i.e., touch, temperature, pressure, position, movements and all types of pain (stabbing, pricking, lightning, burning, itching, irritating, etc.). With these feelings brain can accommodate the situation and environment to comfort our body. Any problem arising in the nerves (neurological problem either persistent or temporary in nature) will make one feel frustrated.

Unlike other complaints, neurological problems are difficult to cure and take a longer time to attain the state of cure, i.e., one needs to wait to feel a marked improvement for at least a week, most often, 20-40 days. In recent days, our mental and physical stress and strain, additive habits, sleeplessness, etc., seem to cause more and more neurological problems.

Common neurological problems and causes – The common nerve disorders causing neurological complaints are neuritis, herpes, polio, ganglion, epilepsy, Parkinson’s diseases, sclerosis, tetany, degenerative brain disorders, etc. Other than nerve disorders, other systemic diseases can also cause neurological complaints i.e. diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, SLE, leprosy, gout, diphtheria, tuberculosis, syphilis, etc.

Description of Poomulli Mana :
Poomully Mana, having history of over 500 years was considered to be one of the richest and powerful namboothiri families in Kerala. Poomully Mana was reconstructed in 1850 by Shri. Poomully Narayanan Nampoothiripadu. Poomully Mana’s members were famous for practicing Ayurveda, Kalari, Yoga and other performing Arts. The name and fame of Poomully Mana was synonymous with Kerala's heritage and culture. Legendaries from all over the world visited Poomully Mana and has undergone training here in different art and cultural forms.

An old palace situated in a silent, green village. The old Mana still carries its traditional value systems in its approach to Ayurvedic Treatments which were selflessly promoted and offered to society by the Aram Thamuran (Sixth Ruler.1921-1997). His Expertise in all forms of arts and literature, Ayurveda, Kalari, Yoga and other performing arts and his knowledge in all facets of life gave him the name "ARIVINTE THAMPURAN" (living legend of knowledge).

Consult the senior doctor, Dr.Devan Namboothiri (Tuesday and Friday),for Ayurvedic Massage and treatment. All the traditional Ayurvedic treatments are carried out in the special “Poomully way” which follows the texts and documents written by the ancient sages. These specialized treatments include treatment for stress relief, spondylitis, arthritis, slip disc & chronic low back pain, bronchial diseases, cancer of breast and uterus, Diabetes, E.N.T.   • Service charge for the Doctor is for supervision over the treatments, diet, routine visits and consultation.
  • Package cost do not include treatments if any, required for conditions not related to the package.
  • Package costs do not include any tests, if required by doctors.
  • Package costs do not cover extra consultations required after treatment, if situation warrants extra supervision for the patient.
  • If additional days treatment is required, the rates will vary proportionately. Extra days and costs in such cases will be notified before they are incurred.
  • Vasthi ( Medicated enema) Kashaya and Mathra are also advocated along with Ayurveda external therapies.
  • For Ladies - on their menstrual period, no major Ayurvedic therapies will be carried out other than general therapies (like Head and shoulder, local massage etc.)
  • Sightseeing, telephone calls, internet, personal laundry and other additional service requested will be charged extra.
  • Greet and assistance at Cochin Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Mana @ Euro 70 per trip.
