Independent Rating: Not Rated Self Accredited Rating: Not Rated Green Mansions is an enchanting ecolodge located right in the middle of the sanctuary overlooking the magnificent Gavi lake and the thick verdant forests nearby. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this quixotic eco lodge would allow you to savour the wilderness to your heart's content. Rarely does a government-run spot feel so cared for and dynamic, or a place leave you as revived as Green Mansions. Getting there is half the fun; the three-and-a-half-hour, bone rattling jeep ride ensures some of the best natural spectacles that you could ever ask for.

There are two well appointed rooms to cater to the eclectic needs of the guests. Vegetarian Kerala cuisine and snacks are served to the visitors. Laundry services and guide service are available.There are two programmes run by the Kerala Forest Development Corporation and Eco Development Committees. The first option would be where three families could stay in the ecolodge of Green Mansion at Gavi and the other where 15 persons can go for a day’s visit of the area.

Gavi is a picturesque spot in one of the off beaten destinations for you to enjoy a rendezvous with wilderness replete with the frills of an array of captivating activities such as trekking, birding and canoeing among others. Hosted and accompanied by trained local people, the visitors can enjoy nature at its best and indulge in a host of exciting activities. Native vegetarian food and snacks will be provided to the visitors.

Set amidst enchanting hills and valleys,Green mansion allows you to sneak peek into the exciting wildlife including the elephant, Nilgiri tahr and lion-tailed macaque among others. Outdoor camping and night safaris are also organised. Another essential stopover would be the Paradise Cove at Ninnumulli apart from Kullur, Kochu Pampa and Pachakanam.

Visitors can also can explore the sprawling cardamom gardens that heavily punctuate the forests. There are two well appointed rooms to cater to the eclectic needs of the guests.
