Kumarakom is a quaint town nestled along the Vembanad Lake. This tourist village is a cluster of islands which presents an opportunity for a cruise along the backwaters. Take a cruise in and around Kumarakom for a relaxed holiday.

You will be accorded a warm welcome into the houseboat by our representative by 12noon. The cruise commences and a traditional Kerala lunch will be served soon after. The lunch usually consists of popular local dishes such as cooked Tapioca and spicy Fish curry with gravy, Rice, chicken and vegetables etc.

Glide along the serene backwaters in an unhurried pace to get a taste of rustic charm. Take in the beauty of the picturesque surroundings while you lazily stretch on the uplifted sun deck behind the captain. Lush greenery all around, ducks grazing and fishermen at work are some of the sights that unfold as you cruise along. You can buy fresh catch on the move and can get it cooked to your choice. But if you fancy a first hand experience, don't hesitate to borrow a fishing rod from our Captain and get down to work.

The cruisers can step down and take a walk around the village for a close encounter with the rural lifestyle. Walk around the paddy fields, watch toddy being tapped, kids flying kites and women washing clothes. The guests will be served tea and local snacks such as banana fry on board. The cruise for the day will be wrapped after dinner and the houseboat will be anchored by the lakeside.
