Poovath is a spectacular Dutch colonial palace restored into contemporary boutique style heritage hotel beside Mattanchery Palace in the dutch area of Fort Cochin. The beautifully refurbished building of this heritage hotel retails all the best qualities of Dutch architecture. This renovated Dutch palace from the colonial era is the ideal option for those who would like to relax and unwind while exploring the splendor of the inimitable backwaters of Fort Cochin, acclaimed as the ‘Queen of Arabian Sea.’ Owing to its central location, Poovath gains easy access to prominent tourists attractions of Fort Cochin which include vestiges of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonialism. Poovath Hotel is located besides the Dutch cemetery,which is maintained by the CSI (Church of South India).
