The resort is uniquely designed on the concept of a fisher man's village where guests have the opportunity to see local fisher men working in traditional Kerala style.

Accommodation facilities at the Pozhiyoram Beach Resort include cottages that resemble a fisherman's hut, complete with a thatched roof. The bathrooms are open-roofed courtyards, typical of the cottages of this region.

Recreational facilities at the Pozhiyoram Beach Resort include sun terrace near the buffet restaurant and an amphitheater for cultural performances. as well as an Ayurveda center with a consulting doctor.
