Embark on an exciting cruise along the waterways of Pallathuruthy – Karimpavalavu – Kanjippadam - Karumady Canal (long stretch of narrow canal) - Thottappally. Alight at Karumady for a brief stop over to visit the famous statue of Karumady Kuttan. Enjoy the lush landscape of the typical Kerala countryside as you make your way to the pastoral town of Thottappally wading through the waterways laced with coconut groves, paddy fields and lush greenery. You can also catch a glimpse of the simple lifestyle fostered by the people in the area up close, which is quite distinct from the rest of India. These folks, like their ancestors of the yore, are solely dependent on the waterways for all aspects of their lives from earning a livelihood to fulfilling their daily chores. It’s not uncommon to see women washing clothes, children bathing and men fishing on their small country boats side by side as you cruise along the waterways. The photography enthusiast can fill the frames with Kerala’s charming landscape and its unique ways of life. Retire for the day after a sumptuous Kerala dinner prepared onboard the boat.
