Day1:


Upon arrival at the Alleppey Finishing Point Jetty, you will be accorded a warm reception by our representative. Check-in time aboard the houseboat is 1200 hours. Embark on an exciting cruise along the waterways of Pallathuruthy – Karimpavalavu – Kanjippadam - Karumady Canal (long stretch of narrow canal) - Thottappally. Alight at Karumady for a brief stop over to visit the famous statue of Karumady Kuttan. Enjoy the lush landscape of the typical Kerala countryside as you make your way to the pastoral town of Thottappally wading through the waterways laced with coconut groves, paddy fields and lush greenery. You can also catch a glimpse of the simple lifestyle fostered by the people in the area up close, which is quite distinct from the rest of India. These folks, like their ancestors of the yore, are solely dependent on the waterways for all aspects of their lives from earning a livelihood to fulfilling their daily chores. It’s not uncommon to see women washing clothes, children bathing and men fishing on their small country boats side by side as you cruise along the waterways. The photography enthusiast can fill the frames with Kerala’s charming landscape and its unique ways of life. Retire for the day after a sumptuous Kerala dinner prepared onboard the boat.

Day2:

After a refreshing breakfast, get ready to enjoy a full day long cruise along the backwaters of Vembanad. Today’s itinerary will include the Thottappally – Thondapra – Thakazhy - Pullangady –Champakulam – Nedumudy - Moonnatumugham - Moncompu stretch of the backwaters. Your trip will cover some of the most scenic locales figuring prominently in the backwater tourism map of Kerala. Disembark at Champakulam to visit the historic Champakulam Church and the well-renowned snake boat -Champakulam Chundan. The second stop over is at Moncompu to visit the famous temple located there. Three full course meals will be served on-board the houseboat. Retire for a Beunas Noches after a sumptuous dinner prepared aboard.

Day 3:


Start your day with a slow cruise along the Onnamkara- Pulincunnu stretch of the backwaters. Alight at Pulincunnu for a sightseeing tour of the area. Visit the Pulincunnu Church and the local market for a close interaction with the local populace to learn their simple unique lifestyles. Next on the agenda is a cruise along the Puthenthodu (narrow canal) – Kavalam – Liziu – 6000 – Mangalam - D-Block – 4000 - C-Block – Marthandam - R-Block - Chithira Kotha stretch. Three full course meals in the typical Kerala flavor will be served aboard. Anchor-down at Chirthira Kotha for an overnight stay.

Day4:

Enjoy a wholesome breakfast as you glide through the Vembanad Lake towards Kumarakom – a fitting finale for such an exciting journey. Check-out at 1000 hours at Kumarakom for your onward connecting journey.
