2 Nights & 3 Days Houseboat Cruise from Alappuzha to Alumkadavu 

Begin your cruise from Alleppey and glide along the serene Punnamada Lake famous for its Nehru Trophy Boat race held every year in the month of August. The splendid ambience and lush surrounding of the backwaters will definitely rob your hearts. The palm fringed narrow canals through the paddy fields and the tiny hamlets lined up along the sides of the backwaters will be a memorable site for sure. During the cruise you will be visiting R’Block, C’Block, Chavara Bhavan and the Olden wooden house. Spend the night at Vattakayal, cruisers have many attractions to look en-route like Chavara Bhavan, olden wooden house, 400-year-old ancient church, 110 feet long snake boat, ancient Buddhist image of Karrumadikuttan (only Buddhist temple in Kerala).

The boat will drop its anchor in the evening for a night halt at Kayyamkulam Pozhy, so enjoy a romantic sun set and can catch the famous Chinese fishing nets in operation. The boat will cruise through Kayyamkulam Lake; do visit the Vallicavu Amrithanandhamayi Ashram (the most famous snayaisini of Hindu). End your splendid cruise at Alumkadavu.   

Day 1:- Cruise starts at 12 from Alleppey, as you aboard the boat you will be served by tender coconut juice as a traditional welcome drink. The boat slowly glides along the serene backwaters of Alapuzha dotted by coconut groves and paddy fields lined up on the side of the backwaters. Savour a traditional Kerala lunch at the dining table in the living area of the boat with cool breeze and splendid sights making your lunch a special one. During your boat cruise you can visit some of the local attraction on the way including R’Block, C’Block, Chavara Bhavan, Olden wooden house, and the 400 year old ancient church. You will also have a close look at the 110, feet long snake boat and one of the ancient attraction of the Buddhist image of Karrumadikuttan. Enjoy the evening with a cup of tea and some snacks.  Enjoy a romantic sun set amidst some of exotic sights; the boat will anchor in the evening at around 7pm followed by a full course meal in the night. Spend the night in Kayyamkulam Pozhy.

Day 2: The cruise will start around 7am in the morning, followed by a breakfast at 8:30-9am. You will be cruising through the beautiful Pullangady and Karumady backwaters. Enjoy visiting the legendry site of Karumadi Kuttan a granite statue of Buddha. The statue is unique as its half broken and the legend says that an elephant charged towards this statue and broke the right half of the statue. Take a break from the sightseeing and enjoy a scrumptious lunch onboard. Then the boat will glide on slowly towards Thottapally, Kumarakody and Thrikunnapuzha. Cruisers can have a close look at the village life and can check out the local coir manufacturing unit here. Your overnight stay will be at Kayamkulam Lake.

Day 3: On the final day you can take a pleasure cruising through the tranquil Kayamkulam Lake and Vallikkavu finally reaching Alumkadavu at 10:00am.
