Udwartana-powder massage
Udwartana is a process usually done in kapha aggrevated conditions. Massage is done with medicated powder all over the body in upward direction.
What is the procedure of Udwartana
In this process the patient is made to lie on the treatment table and mild oil massage is given all over the body. The medicated powder is warmed and applied over the body and rubbed in upward direction. This procedure performs in 7 positions as told before in Abhyanga after the process the powder is removed from the body by using a dry towel. After taking rest for few minutes, hot water bath is given to the patient.
Duration of this treatment is about 45 minutes.

Obesity, Hemiplegia, Parkinsonism.
