There are two five star hotels in Cochin, the one we prefer is Taj Malabar which is located in the heart of Willindon Island which is ideal for visiting Fort Cochin and Downtown, and the other hotel is Casino Hotel which has a very good fish restaruant, and this hotel is a part of CGH group (coconut lagoon, marari beach, spice village, brunton boatyard, kalari kovilakom)
4 Star Hotels in Cochin
There are many 4 star hotels in Cochin many are geared towards the business traveler. The Avenue Regent Hotel and The Renaissance. The Avenue is located on MG Road which is the main business district of Cochin. The Renaissance is a little further out but the price definitely reflects that making it a great alternative.
3 Star Hotels in cochin
There are many 3 star hotels in cochin but the ones we recommend all of you out there to stay in are Abad Atrium hotel and Harborview Residency hotel. Both of which are located in the central area of Cochin and both can be used as business hotels and are also ideal for a city break in Cochin.
Budget Hotels in Cochin
There are many places to choose from but avoid lodges as these tend to be for people working in the city and are very cramped and offer little or no amenities.
We would therefore suggest The Grand Hotel on MG Road the main business centre of Cochin. The Grand is actually a 3 star but the tariff is only around Rs1200 (£14) per night.
