The specialty of Carnatic music is its devotional compositions. The lyrics of the compositions are essential and sets the whole backdrop. The notes of Carnatic music are "sa-ri-ga-ma-pa-da-ni". These are the abbreviations of the real names shadjam, rishabham, gandharam. madhyamam, panchamam, dhaivatam and nishadam.

This Music form has not only influenced its native country but had made its mark globally. The music has the sonic representation of the cultural heritage of India. Carnatic Music has the eternal feel that it takes you to salvation.

Carnatic songs are basically composed based on a particular raga, and they do not deviate from the notes in the raga. Every composition is set with specific notes and beats. Improvisation occurs in the melody of the composition and the notes all this makes this traditional music special.
