A cruise on a Luxury Houseboat is your best bet if you are fancying an extravagant, yet a serene holiday in the nature's lap. Luxury Houseboats are as luxurious as a houseboat can get and plays host to a lavish holiday. Spacious and plush patio, large bedrooms, well done up interiors in coir and jute, soothing earth tones are some of the value additions of a Luxury Houseboat. Our one bedroom Luxury range of house boats are perfect for honeymooners or couples looking for a getaway.
The cruise commences at 12 noon from the starting point and glides past picturesque locales. Immediately after the cruise begins, the guests will be served traditional Kerala lunch. The lunch is complete with Kerala delicacies such as clams (subject to availability) pearl spot fish, rice, chicken and vegetables.
Laze on the sun deck, stretch back and watch the little features characteristic of Kerala present itself. You can also immerse in a book, catch up with the latest news on the Television or take an afternoon siesta. But you would be too busy taking in the beauty of the rural Kerala, you wouldn't want to shut an eyelid.
The houseboat sails through a number of villages that lie on the banks of the backwaters. You get to see the R-Block which is known for an indigenous agricultural practice. Here, cultivation is made possible at four to ten feet below sea level by reclaiming land from the backwaters and building dikes around it. Enroute you pass through Pathiramanal, a small island on the backwaters of Alappuzha, which is a haven for hundreds of rare birds migrating from different parts of the world. The green island thus forms an ideal place for a break in the journey while on a backwater cruise.
The guests will be served evening tea , coupled with local snacks . The package also includes dinner and the following day's breakfast. The cruise begins early on the following day and winds off at 9.30 am.
