The guests will be checked into the houseboat at 12 noon. As soon as the cruise commences, a traditional Kerala lunch will be served. The lunch usually consists of popular local dishes such as cooked Tapioca and spicy Fish curry with gravy, rice, chicken and vegetables etc.
The houseboats cover rivers and canals dotted with palm trees and small houses, paddy fields and churches etc. This is an excellent opportunity to take a sneak peak into the daily lives of the rural folk. So lounge on the uplifted sun deck in the patio and watch the unique features of the backwaters present itself while you glide along. Enjoy the sun and catch the fishermen angling in the waters. While the houseboat is anchored at the lake side for a break, you can move around or take a refreshing swim. Or sample some freshly tapped toddy, which is a sweet country liquor tapped from Palm tree.
