Check into the houseboat at 12noon and be pleasantly greeted by our inviting interiors that are done up in soothing and earthy tones. Conceived and designed in a traditional architectural structure, the ambience sets the stage for a relaxed backwater vacation.
The journey begins with lunch, cooked the Kerala way to match the mood of the cruise. A lovely scenery will act as the backdrop while you feast on the conventional cuisine. The guests will also be provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner through out the cruise. The Houseboat will drop its anchor at the lake side after dinner and you can retire to the bedroom for the night. The cruise sets off early on the third day and will wrap up by 9.30 am.
The Superior Houseboat has a spacious lounge with a sun-deck, comfortable bedrooms with attached bath and a well-maintained kitchen. Use the sun-deck to relax, get a tan or as a window to the outside world. Plenty of features that are distinctive to Kerala will present themselves on the way. You will get to see the paddy fields, grazing ducks, fishermen throwing their net, children diving into the waters and men tapping toddy.
Thottapally to Alappuzha stretch is accented with plenty of sites to attract your attention. You will sail past Chavara Bhavan, a spiritual resort which is visited by lots of devotees. The cruise also covers ‘Karumadikuttan’ a statue of Budha believed to be old as far as 9th to 14th century.
