Planters Retreat Palakkad

A Syrian Christian family, ancestors having settled here since the early 1940s, and have traditionally been farmers for several generations. Located near the hamlet of Kanjirapuzha, 40 km from Palakkad town, the home stay is set in an exclusive locale, yet is easily accessible by road and rail from the cities of Kochi, Calicut and Coimbatore.

The world famous Silent Valley National Park is located just an hour and a half away from Planters Retreat. Also, an hour’s drive from the home stay is the breathtakingly beautiful Siruvani Dam. Those who fancy a swim in nature’s own pool can take a dip in the Meenvallam Waterfalls, set deep in the forest about 30 km from the plantation.

The three spacious air-conditioned bedrooms overlook the plantation with a view of the mountains in the background and the dam through the trees. The long verandas provide you with ample space, privacy and comfort to simply chill out for an afternoon siesta or a quiet read.

Speaking of reading, the library on the first floor has a rich collection of books to keep you company, especially if you plan to holiday during the monsoon. Board games, a video collection and digital TV ensure that there never is a dull moment during your holiday with us. Broadband Wi-Fi connectivity provides you internet access from the comfort of your bedroom.

A mix of traditional home cooked meals and continental cuisine ensures that you can sample our cooking but at the same time still fall back on food that you are comfortable with.
