The Zuri Kumarakom, Kerala Resort & Spa

Zuri Hotels and Resots is set on Lake Vembanad (2 hour drive from Cochin airport), with its own little lagoon - incredibly quiet, gorgeous palm trees and plants everywhere, and a bit of wildlife too (birds, turtles, butterflies, frogs, etc). There is nothing around except a few other hotels and small villages, so this is really a place to come relax (sit at the pool, take boat rides, etc.).

All rooms arranged in clusters around the lagoon (with the priciest standalone villas right on the lake itself). Gorgeous pool with great elephant fountains (attached to spa) right in the middle of it all. Two restaurants - one casual one on the inland side, one seafood restaurant lakeside. There is also a billiards room and a cigar lounge. Everything looks perfect. Tastefully decorated in a sort of tropical style, with great bathrooms (separate tub and big, modern shower).

There isn't much good restuarnts nearby, so high-quality food is of course important here, and the Zuri Hotels and Resots doesn't disappoint. The main, casual restaurant has an absolutely excellent.

It won't give you a particularly authentic cultural experience but it is uniquely beautiful and incredibly relaxing.

Zuri Room:

Zuri Rooms with a verandah measuring 42 square meters are located on the ground floor overlooking the lagoon. The room offers a king sized bed or twin beds and a host of other facilities.

Zuri Deluxe Room:

Located on the ground floor, the Zuri Deluxe Rooms measuring 42 square meters feature a balcony overlooking the lagoon while also providing a charming view of the Vembanad Lake. Each room features a king sized bed or twin beds and a host of other facilities.

Zuri Cottage:

The  Zuri Cottages feature aesthetically developed 45 square meter twin cottages with charming sit-outs on the shores of the man made lagoon. All cottages in this Kerala resort also boast of a garden shower and include a king sized bed amongst a host of other facilities.

Zuri Presidential Pool Villa:

The  majestic 70 square meter villas feature a living–dining room, bedroom & ultra–modern spacious bathroom, private garden shower, barbeque facilities and an independent pool on the shores of the Vembanad Lake. Every Pool Villa comes with a dedicated villa host to ensure round the clock service par excellence. Each presidential villa provides a king sized bed and an array of other facilities.
