Very prompt and informative, making the whole process easy and quick...
Fabulous Trip! Although we loved all our stays, possibly Munnar, and the lovely tea bungalow (Nettigudi) we stayed in when we were there was the highlight. Delightful staff - a fantastic chef, and Silva Raj, who had worked there for many years, and who added a great sense of occasion to our stay - he cleans the gleaming floors with half a coconut husk. We went on lovely walks/treks; interesting places to visit nearby - tea museum being one; and played badminton on the tennis court! We also met an extremely interesting couple who were staying in the bungalow aat the same time.
What made it so great? David, our lovely driver - not just a very good driver, but also a fantastic ambassador to your country. He was always cheery, amazingly informative, full of energy, and kept himself and the car spotless . Very professional -what a lovely man !
Hotel Name: Old Lighthouse Bristow, Fort Cochi and four others
How would you rate it? 4 star
Tell us more... All the hotels were lovely, with big airy bedrooms and en suite. Two of the hotels housed us in dear little thatched cottages. Great views, loved all the pools - with shade. Friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurants - unfortunately one of the hotels didn't serve wine or beers, as they didn't have a licence at the time. The two sea / lakeside hotels were gorgeous, just a little bit stranded out of nearest town - at least half an hour's tuk tuk ride to Allepey. Some of the hotels had tennis/badminton courts - it was really good fun working off some of the delish curries.

About Kerala
If you had some Ayurveda, how did you rate the experience?
Good
Tell us more...
I tried it twice, my husband once: I found it very relaxing and will probably have Ayuvedic reatment again; my husband found it interesting but he probably won't repeat it.
Did you enjoy the food in Kerala?
Excellent

Delicious, my husband even had masala dosa for breakfast. Meals in England now seem surprisingly bland, luckily I bought 2 Keralan cookbooks to practice on.
What would you recommend to others
Try everything! (just easy on the chillie) The fresh fish, lobsters, prawns are fresh and so so very good. Am not so keen on the buffets.
Anything we haven't covered?
Clothing. Kerala is so very much hotter than the UK. I found that Tshirt type fabric is Much Too Hot - advise travellers to wear light cotton tops/shirts, 'cut off' trousers, light cotton skirts, and to bring a non-greasy sun screen. Pack for one week, and not three! And if you're going to wash an elephant, wear old clothes!
