Ayurveda Remedies for Insomnia
Insomnia
Habitual lack of sleep is called insomnia. It may cause due to malnutrition, lack of physical activity, anxiety, diabetes, stress or psychiatric disorders etc.
The victim will sleep one or two hours only. Burning sensation in eyes, restlessness, irritability, lack of concentration etc may be experienced when the patient is not sleeping. These are symptoms of insomnia.
Remedies :
a) Mix 15 ml coriander juice with 50 ml water and little sugar and consume twice a day.
b) Drink 25 ml fresh gooseberry juice twice a day.
c) Consume sweet porridge made of milk, pappy seeds, nutmeg powder and sugar after dinner.
Precautions :
a) Consume vitamin B, C and E-rich foods.
b) Exercise or walk briskly for 30-45 minutes.
c) Take bath in warm water before going to bed, preferably 30 minutes in advance.
d) Consume gooseberry, bananas, buffalo milk, ghee regularly
