Kovalam Beach (A) is the most famous of all Kerala's beaches but is in fact a set of connecting beaches over almost 30 miles. There is a map of kovalam here

Varkala(D) is more laid back and some 40 miles further north of Trivandrum.
Closer to Cochin are the resorts dotted around Alappuzha (E) and Mararikulam such as Marari beach Resort
