TREATMENT & CARE
The LASIK Treatment & Care Procedure adopted at Chaithanya Lasik Centre is as follows:
- General Eye Health: To assess your general eye health and fitness for procedure. Duration: 2 Hours
- LASIK Counseling: An elaborate counseling procedure by our trained counselor to tell you about the pros and cons of the procedure and everything else you need to know to make the right decision. Duration: 1 Hour
- LASIK Pre-Procedure Workup: Assess the patient to ensure the best result. Duration: 1 ½ Hours
- LASIK Procedure: The actual procedure involved in Laser Vision Correction using advanced LASIK Technology. Duration: 45 Minutes
- Post-Procedure Care: Review and assess the recovery on the 7th and 30th day following the procedure

Wavelight Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Speed-Precision-Better Vision
The Allegretto Wave Eye-Q includes a ceramic laser head with a repetition rate of 400Hz and a sold-state power supply for long lifetime and energy stability. It also features a video-based closed loop eye tracker and a nitrogen purged beam path.
The Allegretto Wave excimer lasers were the first lasers to use wavefront-optimized ablation profiles, thus integrating an important wavefront-guided treatment feature in standard laser vision correction.
Utilizing a wavefront-optimized ablation profile designed to prevent spherical aberrations of the patient’s cornea, the risk of refractive procedure related vision problems is minimized.
Efficient treatment with fast pulse repetition minimizes the effects of dehydration of the cornea as well as external influences during the procedure.
In order to further optimize the refractive procedure itself, the repetition rate has been increased to 400Hz in the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q.
Adjustment of the corneal asphericity (also referred to as "Q-Value") now offers a 4th dimension to the treatment of vision disorders by customizing the asphericity of the cornea. This provides true customization and offers a treatment ideally adjusted to the individual needs of the patient.
Owing to the small laser spot with a diameter of 0.95mm (0.68mm FWHM, Full Width Half Maximum), the Allegretto Wave laser systems work with a very high resolution and are able to create finest curvatures on the cornea - as required for the customized vision correction.
