Chambakulam

Champakulam is a water logged village the place with vast backwaters and oldest Angadi (market) know as Kalloorkkadu Angadi. The place has attractions like the St Mary Florance Church which was built in 1870 on the site of one of St Thomas's original churches founded in AD64, the beautiful mural paintings here is famous.

The main charm of the place for which the place is better known for is the snake boat races held every year, huge number of people from all over the globe come here to witness this majestic Nadubhagum and Champakulam snake boat races.

If you are planning to have a close look to the place do stroll around the city on a bicycle, canoes are also a good mode for traveling.
