Classification of Physicians
Charaka has classified the physicians into three. One who is cheat, one who is mediocre, and one who is a gifted physician. The first category’s mode of operandi is to sway the patients with sugar quoted words and display lot of drugs and books on the table or shelf. The second category prefers to pretend famed, physician of wealthy class and reserved. The third category presents no pretending, no boasting but display wisdom, ethics, humble behaviour and possesses deep theoretical and practical knowledge and no craze for money.
