Dysentery

Discharge of small quantum of mucoid stools with severe cramps or spasmodic pain in lower abdomen. The parasite caused dysentery is called amoebic dysentery whereas bacteria caused dysentery is called bacillary dysentery.

Sporadic spasmodic pain in lower abdomen while discharging the stool, passage of mucus or blood or both through anus with little faecal matter (in some cases no faecel matter), fever in bacillary dysentery, weakness, loss of appetite etc are the symptoms.

Ayurvedic Remedies :

a) Consume ½ teaspoon cumin seed roasted in ghee thrice a day.

b) Mix ½ teaspoon of dry ginger powder in 50 ml curd and consume thrice a day.

c) Mix ½ teaspoon of clove powder in ½ teaspoon of honey and consume. It should be consumed 3 times a day.

Precautions :

a) Avoid eating exposed foods and hotel foods.

b) Avoid heavy foods; consume light vegetarian foods.

c) Avoid fatty and oily foods.

d) Drink boiled warm water.

e) Drink tender coconut water frequently.
