Eravinalloor

The village, 9 km distanced from Kottayam town, is located on the banks of Kodoor and near Puthupally.

The water encircled village is connected to the main land from four points by bridges. Puthupally bridge to Puthupally, Parakkalkadavu bridge to Kollad, Panachikkad bridge to Panachikkad and Eravinallur bridge to Thrikothamangalam.

Population-wise Hindus rank first, Christians second and Musliams third.

The village has three temples dedicated to Subramanya, Badrakali and Krishna. Thaipooyam festival celebrated during December/January every year in Subramanya Temple is a mega event.

The famous Panachikad Temple is only 25 km from here.

The village has facilities for middle level education. Satisfactory facilities for healthcare exist.
