Lord Vishnu is one of the major god in the Indian Mythology. He is the principal deity of Hinduism , he is said to be the protector and preserver of the universe. Vishnu take cares moral orders of the earth.

Being the protector of the universe he has to stabilise the workings of the world and when everything runs smoothly he rests on the coils of Sesha, ruler of Nagas. When any difficulty comes Vishnu sends one of his Avtars (incarnations) to overcome the situation. He pervades all and nothing pervades him.

Rama and Krishna are the famous incarnations of Lord Vishnu, it is said that Vishnu would have ten such incarnations all to destroy the evils on the earth. While, the Bhagwad Purana states that there are twenty two incarnations of Vishnu and adds further that they are innumerable.

In resemblance Vishnu is said to be the colour of clouds, he has all charm and elegance in him, with four-armed holding a lotus, mace, conch and chakra (wheel). Vishnu always stands tall to fight against negative powers and make earth free from all evils and only dharma prevails.
