Mararikulam is a small village on the coast 10 miles north of Alappuzha (in Kerala, South India) facing the Arabian Sea.
The village is traditionally a fishing village with a long, safe beach from which the boats can be launched.
Tourism is beginning to make inroads into the local culture with a number of resorts being built on Marari Beach.
