Padhasta Asana (Hand to Feet Pose)

This exercise helps trim the waist, restore elasticity to the spine, stretching the ligaments of the legs, particularly hamstrings and flow of the blood to the brain.

1. Exhale after standing with the feet together. Inhale and raise the hands above the head. Lift the head up and make the body straight to have the spine lengthened. While exhaling fold forward from the pelvis.

2. Come down maximum. Grasp the ankles or clasp the hold of the big toes with thumbs and index fingers. Then pull the head towards the shins and breathe deeply. While inhaling, come out of the pose slowly and stretch the arms above the head and lower the arms down by the sides.
