The internal administration medicated ghee is known as Snehapana.
23.2 What is Snehapana procedure
Snehapana is one among the preoperative procedures of panchakarma.It is done in the morning after evacuation of the bowels and urine.The medicated ghee is administered internally on empty stomach.The health,age,dosha condition and digestive caacity of the patient need to be taken in to consideration when determining the dosage.The treatment lasts between five and seven days depending on the condition of the patent and the illness being treated.
