[edit] Thalassery Homestay

Thalassery lies in Kannur District in north Kerala. It was once a British military center built by the British East India Company to control sovereignity over the spices trade.(Tellicherry pepper, ground from locally grown pungent black peppercorns is very famous) The square fort, with its massive walls, secret tunnels to the sea and intricately carved huge doors, is an imposing structure. Thalassery was a major commercial centre during the British rule with the anglicised name Tellicherry \'Tellicherry'.

8 km from Thalasseri lies Muzhapilangad Beach. Huge black rocks protect this wide expanse of beach from dangerous sea currents, making its shallow waters a swimmer's paradise. One can drive down this beach which has an extent of 4 kms.

Experience real Kerala with all its cultural and traditional flavour, blend with the hospitality and homely ambiance with these Homestays below.
