Guide to Vata Dosha
Vata is the dominant dosha of the three and is the controlling dosha. So imbalances in Vata tend to result in imbalances in the others as well.
Vata types tend to be thin and usually don't easily put on weight. Consequently, vata types tend to store little energy and have few energy reserves.
The Vata dosha controls all movements in the body including breathing, digestion and nervous impulses from the brain.
The Vata dosha is the leading dosha.Vata usually goes out of balance first, which causes the early stage of the disease. Over fifty percent of all diseases are vata disorders.
