24.1 What is virechana
Virechana is a purifactory procedure in which the vitiated doshas are expelled through the anus.
24.2 What is Virechana procedure
After the snehapana(internal administration of medicated ghee),steam bath is given to the patient.On the previous day of virechana patient is advised to take easily digestable food.On the day of virechana,the patient is restricted from any food and he must satisfy his urges before the drug administration. The medicine for virechana is administered on empty stomach in the morning between 8.30 and 9.30 am.The patient has to drink the warm water and should wait for 2-3 hours.Then the purgation(virechana) occurs.

Skin diseases,Garlic components,Intestinal worms.
