Our Advice on What to Bring to Kerala
With most airlines imposing a 20kg limit on luggage you want to choose wisely what you bring with you on holiday to Kerala
What to Pack in your Suitcase
- Anti Bacterial soap
- Anti bacterial wipes for use wherever you are
- Immodium for your stomach (hopefully never needed, but...)
- Anti mosquito spray for repelling insects. I love to carry a small roll-on as it is easy to use and seems to work well without making you cough!
- A small medical kit to include paracetamol, a general purpose antibiotic, etc.
- Small bedside torch for when both the elecricity and the generator fails
- Sun glasses and a sun hat.
- Sun lotion. Indians use an umbrella and so good quality sun lotion is hard to find. Definately pack some with you.
- Light but strong shoes that you can easily slip off for entering buildings
- Pens and paper for giving to the children you will meet in the villages.
What to carry onto the plane...
- DVT Socks to ensure no problems on your flight with deep vein thrombosis
- Sleeping pillow to help you sleep on long flight
- Bottle of water
