This is one of the best resorts in Kumarakom and offers faultless service and hospitality. The right place for an extravagant vacation. The resort is surrounded by backwaters and is only accessible by boat. It has an Ayurvedic Centre and offers water sports. The accommodation consists of individual cottages and bungalows, reconstructed using ‘Thachu shasthra’, the ancient rules of carpentry. Though some of these cottages are fairly recent, many are well over a century old and a few are sourced from ancient homesteads that date back to the early 1700s. The reception building is a reconstruction of a nearly 200 year old traditional ‘Illom’ house, and follows the ‘Nalukettu’ design – featuring an open roof courtyard within the basic structure. The accommodation consists of individual cottages called tharavads, the traditional wooden house of Kerala.It allows you to sneak peek into the exciting life at Kuttanad where life goes by at a leisurely pace. Some of the facilities at Coconut Lagoon include AC cottage and Bungalow Accommodation, Swimming Pool,Multi-cuisine Restaurant and Ayurvedic Massage Centre. All the rooms in this resort are air conditioned with all modern amenities like channel music, cable TV, safe deposit box, direct phone, mini bar, bathtub, attached bath, smoke alarms and mini bar. The cottages have open roof attached bathrooms to give the natural touch.The guests can avail of an array of services including Wake up service, doctor-on-call, front desk, luggage storage, coffee shop, lounge, Ayurvedic center, restaurant, bar, laundry, barber and post. The Ayurvedic spa at the resort offers rejuvenation packages and Ayurvedic massages.
