Idukki District

Area: 5019 sq.km Population: 1,079,369 Altitude: 2200 m above sea level

Idukki is hill area with Western Ghats on east and other sides touching Ernakulam, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts. Idukki’s glamour lies in 1500 sq km Reserved Forests rich in flora and fauna.

Annamalai Temple: Idduki east. Chola style architecture. Under Archaeological Survey of India.

Thodupuzha: On the banks of Thodupuzha River. Trading town for plantation produces.

Malankara: 6 km from Thodupuzha. Artificial lake. Enchanting picnic outlet.
