- White rice- half kg
- Coconut water- 1glass
- Yeast- half tea spoon
Soak rice in water for 4-6 hrs. (easy, when you are back from work / office).
Mix coconut water, yeast and sugar and keep aside for 4hrs
Mix both and grind, when it is half done take 5tsps from it and heat it over fire while stirring to make a paste.
Cool it and add it with the rest of the mixture and grind it fine.
Keep overnight/ eight hours to ferment.
When ready, add salt to taste and spread a table spoon of the dough on 'appam chatty' or any shallow non-sticky pan, close the lid and cook for 2mts. It is required to cook on one side only.
