  • Kaits home, is a family stay that traces its legacy to over 560 years and belongs to the ancient Mappilassery family of Champakulam in Alappuzha. Easily accessed by both ferry and road, this home stay serves as a perfect base to explore the water logged country of Kuttanad- the rice bowl of Kerala, where rice is cultivated under water!

Kaits home offers the lipsmacking traditional Kerala cuisine cooked and served by the women of the household. The rooms are simple yet comfortable and some of the facilities on offer include Ayurvedic therapy, Doctor on call, Internet e-mail,etc. There are many interesting outdoor leisure activities including village tours, farm trekking, country boat rides and house boat cruise among others. You can watch the toddy tappers in action or the fishermen going about their daily routine.

In case you are interested to know more about the culture and tradition of this picturesque village in Aleppey,  a guided tour would be the best option to explore some of the  places of tourist interest  including the  Champakulam church built in 427 AD, ancient temples and quaint village markets. You can also see snake boats, measuring around 110 feet long, which are used in the traditional boat races in Kerala; and the best part is that these are not seen in any other part of India.

This home stay at Champakulam could be a cozy home away from your home, where you can enjoy the warmth and closeness of a family milieu without compromising a wee bit on the comfort factor. Recommended for family holidays or romantic weekouts.

Our speciality is the trips on the local boat to different places of Kuttanad, even through narrow canals. Kerala offers a unique mini - canvas to the traveller; the backwaters, which consist of a complex network of lagoons, lakes and canals. Life on the backwaters is entirely different; water being the key to everything.

    • How Karma Kerala Hotels Rates Work

The price of hotel rooms changes from day to day and season to season so we check for each customer to see what the best rate will be depending on their requirement, length of stay and so on. If you want a wonderful stay, why not find our what we can do for you.
    • What does Cheapest Mean

People assume that the cheapest rates apply to all rooms so they book the cheapest! But, they are missing a trick on this: hotels have great rooms and rooms on the wrong side of the tracks and so they offer out the low quality rooms to online portals who don't care about quality, just the price of the room. We, on the other hand, tend to focus on quality so we ask for specific rooms that may be more expensive but damn, they are much better too!
    • Never Knowingly Beaten on Price

We know people are nervous and ask themselves: can this be true? So we make an offer to you: if you can find the room cheaper, we will match your quote. That means you have nothing to worry about and you get the best local advice.
