2015 new resort from a local collective who emphasise local community and political consciousness, and they love good design and super friendly hospitality! Also known as Marari Pearl.
Xandari Pearl (or Marari Pearl) is the newest entrant into Mararikulam, the fishing village and beach area north of Alappuzha. Sprawling over some 18 acres of coconut palm, the beach resort aims to give you the quiet beach holiday sans all the trappings of the busy daily grind. The resort is run by a collective who emphasise the importance of local community and ethics and so the team is integrated with the local people in a refreshing way. There is a lot of smiling here. The scale of the grounds and the villa style accommodation make this a spacious and tranquil experience where you can easily hide away from the world and fellow guests.
The lure of Mararikulam is that you get to stay in luxury and yet enjoy the simple village life of the locals here. Take a village tour on a bicycle, or walk to the beach for a swim or to watch the fisher folk sail off with high hopes and return with their bounty - there's much to amuse yourself. The resort is set back about 150m from the beach as per the Indian government's desire to ensure that hotel development does not infringe on local fishing or change the low-rise nature of Indian beaches.
What you get is villas designed for relaxation and privacy. As you walk in you are greeted by a hammock in each villa. Five villas come with private pools. Every villa has a private garden, seating outside, private dining and open-air shower area. Televisions are not fitted in any of the villas to encourage the visitor to venture out and enjoy the white sands and the pool and sea near-by!
The design is contemporary in its use of stone and polished plasters that eschew primaries for greys set off with bright soft furnishings.
Families with two children below 12 can stay for free and others are charged extra. The restaurant here offers Indian and Continental cuisine mostly made from produce from the property.
A stay here is sure to leave you relaxed and wanting to come back for more.

How Karma Kerala Hotels Rates WorkThe price of hotel rooms changes from day to day and season to season so we check for each customer to see what the best rate will be depending on their requirement, length of stay and so on. If you want a wonderful stay, why not find our what we can do for you.
What does Cheapest MeanPeople assume that the cheapest rates apply to all rooms so they book the cheapest! But, they are missing a trick on this: hotels have great rooms and rooms on the wrong side of the tracks and so they offer out the low quality rooms to online portals who don't care about quality, just the price of the room. We, on the other hand, tend to focus on quality so we ask for specific rooms that may be more expensive but damn, they are much better too!
Never Knowingly Beaten on PriceWe know people are nervous and ask themselves: can this be true? So we make an offer to you: if you can find the room cheaper, we will match your quote. That means you have nothing to worry about and you get the best local advice.
