Changanachery

Changanachery is situated 18 Km from south of Kottayam district in Kerala. The district is bounded by Paippad in the South, Vazhappally in the North, Thrikkodithanam-Madappally in the East and Paippad-Vazhapally in the West.

The place has a rich cultural heritage, it has been a centre of Christian influence and boasts the Syro-Roman church. The Thrikodithanam Mahavishnu temple is also famous. Changanachery is also known for its ayurvedic treatment center. The trade of rice, pepper, dry ginger and arecanuts are mainly done here. It is easily accessible from rail and road route from Kottayam and other places of Kerala. The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport.
