Enjoying the Beach and Sea at Kovalam

Swimming in the sea on Kovalam is safe with mostly clean water and even when the waves are big, there does not seem to be much undertow to worry about.

During the Monsoon season, the waves are large and the sea strong, so be careful swimming.

This is India and locals don't take kindly to women bathing topless and certainly not to naturism. Please don't upset them.
