Maya means illusion. Anything added to the reality is considered as Maya. The Maya is believed to possess immense Shakti, the power, the energy, for the benefit of mankind.
Maya has a divine power to the evolution of the present world. Maya possesses three Gunas (good things) – Satya, Rajas and Tamas.
Maya is considered as the architect of demons. Magical arts are flowed from Maya, it is believed.
