International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers
Upon the instruction of his guru, Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh, India, Swami Vishnu-devananda headed to the West and began travelling and teaching throughout the United States in 1957. He established the first Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Montreal, Canada, in 1959 There are presently 3 Ashrams and 4 Centers located throughout India. The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, Trivandrum is part of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres worldwide and was started in 1989 with the sole aim of propagating the ancient science of YOGA as devised by Swami Vishnu-Devananda for the busy people of Trivandrum. Come to take classes, courses, workshops on meditation, philosophy etc... Schedules and rates vary slightly with the different locations but are always very affordable. Some centers can accommodate residents or visitors. Please contact the center's director in advance to make arrangements
