Marari Beach Resort is located at 60 kms from Kochi (Kerala, India), set in 25 acres of coconut palm groves leading down to the long expanse of beach. The Resort is constructed with a strong local flavour. It has 48 cottages and 3 cottages with private swimming pools. The restaurant serves excellent food, both Indian and Continental, there is a large swimming pool also on location.

Description of Marari Beach Resort:
Marari originates from "Mararikulam", one of the local fishing villages, where life still goes on much as it did a hundred years ago, with the men going out to sea each day to earn a living bringing in the daily catch.
Marari is the only hotel on this section of coastline and sits on a long 10 mile with only fishing villagers for company. The sea can be swum in from the beach and the breakers enjoyed on most days. The beach itself is pure sand without any stones.
Indian Government regulations forbid the building of permanent structures within 200 metres of the beach so the resort slowly emerges out of the palm trees as you walk from the beach inland. The first two structures are a cocktail bar under palm leaves which serves cocktails and beer as well the beach grill that offers grilled fresh fish eaten to the sound of the waves.
The resort also has a yoga space, ayurveda centre with full-time doctor and shop.
Each room is a separate cottage with external bathroom and verandah. The rooms are very spacious and include air conditioning, fridge, but no televisions. The large double beds are high quality and the cottages very quiet and tranquil. The shower rooms are partly open air and very spacious as well.
Marari Beach gets very heavily booked over the Xmas period and in the peak season so please book early with us to ensure confirmed reservations.

This is the best beach resort anywhere near Cochin and also a supremely well run and stylish village style resort. Everything about Marari is stylish and well done. The cottages are spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms are lovely. There is a huge amount of space to relax in beneath the coconut palms. The pool is very large with jacuzzi jets. There are two restaurants and a charming beach cocktail bar. I can definately recommend to you. Families, romantics... anybody at all!
