Thin girls Vs full figured damsels (part lI)

Here you have another version from my male colleagues who prefer slim belles-  Here is what I have for lean women- a compilation of responses from them.

So why slim is always in:

Angelina Jolie, Katrina, Kareena, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty or for that matter take any leading film star today- and there is one thing in common -they are all thin. And yes, there is Kerala’s very own Kavya Madhavan who saw a steep decrease in her fan-base once she put on weight (Of course people still love her for her acting skills and her beautiful face but definitely her figure does not receive much appreciation today).

One guy cited: Thin women can become models if they want to and if they don’t want to, can look like one and win complements. What’s even better; looking thin gives an impression that you work-out (even if you have not been) and live a healthy lifestyle.

Men love thin women and women themselves like being thin. So being thin obviously means that you can enjoy advising fat women who come up to you for advices on how to lose weight.

Ha, another guy had a funny fact: No lift-man will ever refuse to accommodate you on a lift. After all you are just a few extra kilos.

You can manage to sit in a small space in a crowded bus or train. And getting seats on our Indian buses and trains is definitely not child’s play.
“They can also be easily accommodated at the rear of my bike” said another guy.

Hmm, another soft comment: No one will ever corner you asking ‘Please donate blood’. And no one will ever refuse to donate you blood in case you are in need.

This is interesting : Women are known for multi-tasking. Being thin allows you to move faster and get things done. One minute you are downstairs attending your son, and the next minute you are back in the kitchen. Needless to say you can fit into a small kitchen and do the chores easily.

A guy with a sportive mind stated: Thin women excel in sports and can play any game of their choice.

The mention of ‘Full-figured’ girls and the guys panic, thinking its an expensive affair. He will have to afford her  gym, quality and quantity of food and fetch clothes of her unique sizes”. Ok, point taken.

Unlike girls who struggle a lot to lose weight (because not only guys, majority of girls do not like looking fat), thin girls can be free from gym sessions, and fitness regimes, get to relax and spend their time hogging food.

Ah, thats a point from the group: Miniskirts, shorts, nice and cut-hot trends, capris and bikinis – thin girls look the best in them! Another benefit, yes you can save a lot of money when you get to sew two sets of dress from a single piece of cloth.

All, from the group had the same view: They like their ladies to be in shape and look young and thin women always look younger than their age. With many men working out to have an athletic body today, a slim women will always be their favorite. Guys love to carry their slim women in their arm, and every time he does that it ignites romance. So the chances of lifting becomes a daily affair, and the women obviously loves it. One of my male colleagues was of the opinion that women put on weight after marriage so he wanted to keep that trouble post-marriage, so for the time being he would prefer a slim girl.

All this said, be it fat or thin, women are always beautiful the way they are!

Battle begins: Thin vs Fat!!! (Part III)

So whether Mark Antony praises Caeser or Brutus or Cassius..my point is that the ladies are always right just as they are honourable

And so here is the counter-argument from the ‘honorable’ ladies

Well, I do not exactly go by the fact that fat guys are detestable nor do I tell that bunny guys look funny but I can tell you why thin guys win so many of our votes

Argument 1: “Lady 1 tells me all athletes are slim,

slim they are indeed, and medals do they win.

That tells you why you should all be slim

…If you think you were born to be an athlete (Aside)”

So, the point is, being slim and athletic can win you medals if you want to and fat or thin who does not like winning medals.

Of course fat guys can win medals if it is a sumo-wrestling competition (Aside)

Argument 2: “Well, that’s something that bulky guys would have to envy…

They can’t wear low waist jeans,

In fact they’d find it difficult to find jeans that fit their bulk

Well, this doesn’t concern me, for I don’t wear jeans (Aside)”

The same fat men would have worn perfect-fit jeans if they were thin and looked good if ever they got ones which fit their bulk. After all, which man does not like to look appealing to a lady!

Argument 3: “ Lean guys can do any kind of activities flexibily, run, jump, climb, etc”

Yeah, Fat guys can do it. But thin guys do it better. They can jump, climb and play with kids and run to get an extra bag for ladies (this point against those ladies who feel fat guys who make them feel happy by lifting those extra shopping bags for them).
.
Argument 4. “Fat men are strong enough to protect their ladies. He is healthy and can bear children.”

So does it mean that all ladies with thin husbands feel insecure. I doubt. Thin men can be equally healthy and my dad is proud father to four healthy kids (Please note:He is thin!)

Argument 5. “He will be able to lift those extra shopping bags and occasionally lift her too and make her feel special”

Watch Shahrukh Khan lift Kareena off her feet with ease in his latest number “Chammak Challo”. And Shah Rukh is not fat. So thin guys too can do it!!

Argument 6. “For married guys, a pot belly can be a problem”

She winks a wink, and makes me think,

With a blink…

Yes, she is right, she is always right,

Coz, she is an honourable lady…

So sad I cannot tell her that where there is a will there is a way…

that bulky guys with innovative thinking can work wonders unimaginable…

If bulky guys can work wonders unimaginable, how much more can thin guys do. And may be secrets can be revealed for the sake of those fat guys who can then heave a sigh of relief (Wink)

Hey, am not married (Aside) but many honorable ladies who are married do agree with me.

Argument 7. “Hope Adnan Sami doesn’t hear this…

B’coz I have heard gals swooned at the sight of the singing star,

even before he shed all that weight and attained a lean look…(Aside)”

Why ever did Adnan work so hard to shed his kilos then (just thinking)!

Situated in the Northern most part of Kerala, Kasaragod, where fishing is the only source of livelihood, this striking beauty is noted for its sandy beaches, the 300 year old ancient Bekal Fort, near proximity to the two airports and the friendly socialising people.

Last month on behalf of the promotional efforts, a documentary film known as ‘Bekal’, produced by BRDC was screened in the Kalabhavan Theatre, Thiruvanthapuram. The script directed by Mr.C.P.Padmakumar pictures the many nature and man made attractions.

Kerala- A hub for different tourism sectors!

Tourism, tourism, tourism everywhere! Kerala is known for its tourism in different sectors. The alluring charm and the unique serenity have made Kerala one of the best tourism destinations. One can find people from different countries and locations visiting this charming state in order to explore the various tourism areas, which it is highly known for.

Whether it is the high standard of food or the simple cooked puttu (steamed rice powder preparation), vegetarian dishes and fish curry, here comes the concept of Kerala being known for its culinary tourism. Though ‘idiyappam’, stew, puttu were influenced by the Portuguese cuisines, these food items are the customary dishes in every home in Kerala.

Now lately it is seen that film tourism has also been seen as a tourism ingredient that boosts Kerala tourism. With various films from Hollywood and Bollywood like  Mistress of Spices, Dil Se, Bombay and most recently Ravan (Ravanan), being shot in Kerala, one can find that Kerala provides appropriate places for all these right shots.

Eco tourism- One of the fastest growing segments in the world, Kerala has joined in the race to show that it is nestled in the bounties of nature thereby attracting foreigners and travellers. Focusing on sustainable and eco tourism development with a rich biodiversity and unmatched natural stations makes Kerala a hot spot for eco tourism. This is a concept introduced in order to make people observe and understand more about the flora and fauna of Kerala.

'Chingam'- The month of celebrations

Kerala is today celebrating ‘Chingam 1′, the beginning of the New Year as per its traditions. A great significance to the farmers, it is actually referred to as Aandu Pirappu and represents activeness, prosperity and harvest after the rains.

Chingam, a season for sports, festivities and ritual celebrations, is believed to have originated on this particular day when Lord Vishnu took the avatar of Vaamana and came to the state of King Mahabali and sent him to the nether world.

Onam the harvest festival of Kerala is celebrated in the month of Chingam which corresponds to the month of August or September. One can find people wearing the traditional attires to schools and offices and also the start of the floral design competition to commemorate the Chingam celebrations leading to the state festival of Kerala – Onam.

Hindus welcome the month of Chingam by going to the temples followed by feasting and celebrations. The first month in the traditional Malayalam calendar- Chinga Masam or Chingam Month is busy with fairs, marriages, feasts and especially shopping for the people.

In Cochin, The Atthachamayam Festival is conducted every year on Atham asterism of the Malayalam month Chingam in remembrance of the renowned victory of the Raja of Kochi. It adds a lot of colour to this city and people are drawn to the culture of this beautiful place during this period.

Kerala reigning on a long journey…

Kerala- A state that has been caught in the web of paradoxes, has no parallel in any other Indian state. Gods own country has come a long way in recent years both in showing its good side as well as the bad. On one end are the firsts that Kerala has achieved. But on the other end it is a state that is caught in the trap of its various political ideologies and narrow interests myopic to the dynamic of various changes.

Let me show you how this breathtaking beautiful state is bringing pride to India in various circumstances in the future:

  • Organised by the Kerala Coir Development Programme, the  Malabar Coir Festival begins at the Corporation Stadium Ground on August 12th. With as much as 80 stalls that showcase various coir products including export quality materials, it is seen that this 11 day exhibition is organised in order to promote marketing and introduce new products.
  • One of the fanciest in the country and believed to be the costliest prayer hall in Kerala is seen to be inaugurated by President Pratibha Patil on this Friday. The 91 foot high lotus shaped hall is named as ‘Parnasala’ and is dedicated to the  late founder, Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru. The full bloomed lotus in pure white marble will be unveiled at the Santhigiri Ashram, Thiruvananthapuram.
  • An organisation pioneering the green building movement- The Indian Green Building Council has brought about a significant milestone of having almost 100 fully functional green buildings in various states across the country. This milestone has brought India a good image in the international map of green buildings and a proud factor for all Keralites to know that Kerala is contributing to being Green.
  • Inaugurating a substation at Mattanur in this district with as much as 30 power projects targeting a production capacity, it is seen that Kerala is in the progress of being a role model in the production of excess electricity in the country.
  • A felicitation is being conducted by the Kerala Tourism department in honor of Kamala Hasan, the legend that has bagged almost 18 Filmfare awards and is known as the showman of the film industry.

But in another page in the long book of commendable factors, here comes something that showcases Kerala’s not so good side:

  • Due to lack pf proper sanitation, mass bathing by pilgrims, discharge of industrial effluents, it is seen that high levels of pollution is contaminating the backwaters and rivers of Kerala. So it is very necessary for the government to take comprehensive management steps to plan and conserve nature’s gift before it is fully contaminated, by destroying Kerala’s priceless gifts.

Offers, offers, offers, everywhere in Kerala!

What if the product you wish to get has an enticing offer? The month of August brings in the greatest festival of Kerala- Onam, with it comes many offers. Its during the time of Onam, kerala witnesses the shopping fever and so do everybody wants to go for a shopping spree.

It is seen that during this season, people swarm the markets and get goods for discount which may otherwise cost a bargain. Get to know some of the offers and go enjoying- the earlier the better!

Partying in Cochin….

It might not be everybody’s idea of fun! But if any of you would like to take a break from the usual stress and need to enjoy a social party fun, here comes an opportunity- a DJ Hunt 2010 at Ava Lounge Cochin. Doesn’t it sound interesting? If you have the skills, then its going to be easy.

Held at Ava lounge, Dream Hotel Cochin on August 8th from 2pm onwards, do get caught in the mayhem and magic of this event with a professional DJ tagged to your shirt at the end of the party.

A heartthrob of many youngsters, this place is known to be the ‘metro’ for fine goods, clubs and parties. The cosmopolitan city is fascinating in many ways with its glitz shopping malls, modern life and a colorful mix of eclectic cultures including Chinese and Jewish influences.
