A nondescript village in Nilambur village in Malappuram district has set an example by saying no to dowry to give further impetus to the anti-dowry movement in India. The starting fact that over 25 percent of the village population had sold their homes to get their daughters married off, sparked the fire for this mass movement, which was readily endorsed by the youth of this village.
