Road & River Itinerary
Upon arrival at Cochin Airport by the morning flight, greet and assistance by our Man Friday in a white Ambassador car, who will be your guide for the day. The good old Ambassador car will drive you along the four lane NH-47 at leisure, take a short detour to Marari Beach giving you ample time to get a feel of coastal life, with a stop at the ubiquitous way-side tea shop for 'chai & kadi' , until you reach Vembanad lake for a houseboat cruise from Alappuzha to Kumarakom, the Kerala Water World !
About Mararikulam
This small fishing village with white sand beaches, vast expanse of land, ocean and palm trees is 60 Kms from Kochi and 12 Kms from Alappuzha. Life in Mararikulum stands still in time 100 years back.
Mararikulam Beach is a secluded place that sports a serene environment. Here one can see beautiful swaying palm trees and vast expanse of the sea in a tranquil environment. You can play with mystic blue waters or pick bright shells and conches and get a glimpse of the laid-back life of an ethnic fishing village. Men here continue to go fishing in the morning while the women perform essential household chores. Tropical fruit trees and mangroves provide natural canopies that protect you from the sun.
