Kayikkara

Kayikkara is a small coastal village, a little north of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala South India.

It has become famous as the birthplace of Kumaran Asan, one of the makers of modern India. Born into a community condemned to untouchability for centuries, he fought against the inequalities of the caste system.
